Stacey Fechter, LMSW
Stacey Fechter, LMSW joins Dr. Cohen's practice from Mount Sinai St. Luke's Hospital's Community Services for Children and Families Department where she provided individual and family Cogntive Behavioral Therapy. Stacey guided her clients in moving forward after experiencing trauma to reduce anxiety, improve relationships, and enhance overall well-being. She has experience collaborating with schools, residential programs, and with the child welfare system. Stacey is passionate about helping children, adolescents and adults; she utilizes a strengths-based approach to help clients cope with life's stressors, as well as develop and meet their goals for treatment. Stacey believes that a positive therapeutic relationship is key to her clients' success and she provides a supportive and caring environment for her clients. Stacey has received training in empirically supported treatments including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and relational family therapy. Stacey received her MSW from NYU School of Social Work.
